All credit cards due to be renewed for the 1st time since the system upgrade will generate a new card number. This new number will show in the Scotia Caribbean App and/or Scotia OnLine Banking, up to 2 months before the current card expires, in addition to your current credit card number. 

Not to worry, you can continue using your card until it expires. Once you activate your renewal card, you will only see one (1) card number i.e. the new number on your profile. We sincerely apologise for any confusion this new feature has caused.

We’re so sorry for any inconvenience caused. Upon completion of the recent credit card system upgrade, some customers are seeing odd/ inaccurate descriptions or duplication of fee(s) on their statements. This error will be reversed on your next statement.

We’re so sorry for any inconvenience caused. Post system upgrade, some customers are seeing duplicate transactions on Scotia OnLine Banking and in the Scotia Caribbean App. Not to worry, this is a display error and does not affect your credit card balance or your available limit.

Post system upgrade, some customers are now seeing a foreign currency conversion/ exchange amount posted as a separate line item in the transactions section on Scotia OnLine Banking and in the Scotia Caribbean App.

This line item description is an error that occurred as a result of the system upgrade. Not to worry, this is not an additional fee. The amount that is currently displayed, will be reversed in the coming week.

Yes, you can use your credit card as normal.  Please note that transactions and/or payment(s) made to your credit card during this time,  will be posted to your account on April 28, 2021. 

Your available credit balance can be viewed using the Scotia Caribbean App and/or Scotia OnLine Banking until April 25, 2021.

On April 26 and 27, 2021  your available credit balance will not be updated on either platform and, the funds will not be available for your use until the upgrade is complete.

All payments made from April 22 to 27, 2021 will be posted to your account on April 28, 2021.

This planned upgrade is aimed at improving the benefits, features and functionalities available in our credit card suite and based on the enhancements being made, the tech support team requires this length of time.

Yes, it is recommended that you continue to make payments to your credit card, as normal. You may do so using the Scotia Caribbean App, Scotia OnLine Banking and any of our Branch ATMs.

Your standing order payments to your credit card will not be affected. Please note that transactions and/or payment(s) made to your credit card during this time, will be posted to your account on April 28, 2021. 

Your online subscriptions will not be affected by the system upgrade. Please note however that transactions and/or payment(s) made to your credit card during this time, will be posted to your account on April 28, 2021. 

Payments to your credit card can be made as usual via the Scotia Caribbean App, Scotia OnLine Banking and at any Branch ATM.

Yes, you will still be able to use the Scotia Caribbean App and/or Scotia OnLine Banking. Please note:

• Transactions and/or payment(s) made to your credit card during this time, will be posted to your account on April 28, 2021.
• Alerts will not be sent during the planned upgrade however; the Fraud Monitoring team will continue to closely review the activity on your credit card.
• Statements due to be issued on April 23 through April 27, 2021 will now be issued on April 22, 2021.
• Statements due to be issued on April 28, 2021 will now be issued on May 3, 2021.
• Your statements will revert to the original cycle dates in May 2021.

This planned upgrade applies to credit cards only and does not affect the functionality of your debit card. 

Yes, if needed, you may withdraw cash from your credit card at any ATM from April 23-25, 2021. Please note that this feature will not be available on April 26 and 27, 2021.

During the planned upgrade you will not be able to change the PIN on your card. If you are a primary credit cardholder and need to change your PIN, you will be able to do so from April 28, 2021.

A supplementary card refers to all additional authorised credit cardholders. 

All supplementary card requests submitted before April 8, 2021 will be processed as normal. These cards will be mailed to the primary credit cardholder and need to be activated by April 21, 2021. 

Your supplementary card will become invalid if not activated by the date specified. If you missed the deadline, please call +1 (246) 426-7000 to reqest a new card. 

If your supplementary cardholder has already activated and pinned their card, no action is required from them. They may continue to use their existing card as usual.
