Eligible customers criteria:

 

Home

·        Must be 18 years and older.

·        Minimum sum insured of BBD $100,000 for buildings only policy (includes BBD $10,000 free contents cover for domestic appliances) *.

·        Minimum sum insured of BBD $50,000 for contents only policy.

·        Must be owner/renter of property.

*Additional contents coverage can be purchased

 

Auto

·        Must be 21 years and older.

·        Minimum sum insured of BBD $13,000.

·        Must be owner of vehicle.

·        Must have a valid driver’s licence.

 

Prize

·        Scotia Home Insurance: First 30 customers will receive a cash prize BBD $300.

·        Scotia Auto Insurance: First 15 customers will receive a cash prize of BBD$200.

Terms and Conditions

Eligibility: This Offer is open to customers of Scotia Insurance who opened a Scotia Home Insurance or Scotia Auto Insurance policy during the promotional period and have met the policy conditions noted above. This Offer is not open to customers of Scotia Insurance who are employees of The Bank of Nova Scotia or any of its subsidiaries in Barbados, their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household of any of these employees. Employees of Scotiabank’s or Scotia Insurance’s advertising and promotional agencies, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to participate in this Offer.

Offer Period: To qualify for the “Prize” your policy must be opened between August 24, 2022 and September 24, 2022. Customers may only receive one prize during the campaign period. Scotia Insurance may extend this offer without notice and at its discretion.

Offer Withdrawal or Change: Scotia Insurance reserves the right at its absolute and sole discretion to withdraw or change, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions from time to time without notice. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Scotia Insurance may also withdraw or change the terms of this offer if it does not receive your completed application within the offer period, or if it cannot confirm your identity or verify the information provided to it in the application or otherwise, or if it determines that you do not meet the conditions established for this offer, or if you do not meet the eligibility requirements.

Offer Conditions:

For Annual Premium Payments: The “Prize” will be paid by the 10th business day of the month following the policy open date. 

For Monthly Premium Payments: The “Prize” will be paid by the 10th business day 3 months following the policy open date.

The Policy must be active to receive payment.  Payment will be deposited to policy owner’s Scotiabank account or a banker’s cheque issued in the policy owner’s name.
