The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:
· “Cardholder” means the primary cardholder of an eligible Scotiabank retail credit card.
· “Promotional Period” refers to the period from March 22nd, 2024, to May 27th, 2024, inclusive.
· “Promotion” refers to this promotion and not to any of Scotiabank’s other promotions or programs.
· “Eligible” refers to qualification to participate in this Promotion.
· "Purchases" means any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction.
· “Eligible Purchases/transactions” means any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction that meets the minimum spend requirement not including returns/credits, or any fees and/or bank charges.
· “Good standing” means that the account should not be overlimit or past due by any amount during the Promotional period.
· “Eligible credit cards” refers only to Scotiabank retail credit cards. Transactions made using a Scotiabank Small Business or Corporate credit card are excluded from this Promotion.
· “Cash Back” refers to the amount that will be credited to the credit card account of a selected Cardholder as a reward when he/she converts an eligible purchase/transaction of a minimum value to a SelectPay™ Plan for a term of six (6) months or more.
· “Digitally Active”refers to a Cardholder whose monthly use of the Scotiabank Online Banking or Scotiabank Caribbean App platform includes a minimum of three (3) transactions performed during the Promotional Period. Online and Mobile Banking transactions, includes but nt limited to all money transfers, bill payments, credit card payment, and mobile top-up that are completed on either platforms.
· “SelectPay™ Plan”means the repayment (installment) plan which allows a Primary Cardholder to repay certain Eligible purchases/Transactions in fixed monthly installments in accordance with the SelectPay™ Terms and Conditions.
· "Scotiabank" or “Bank”means Scotiabank (Barbados) Limited
This Promotion is open to legal residents of Barbados who are 18 years of age or older. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of the named country.
How to Participate:
During the Promotional Period Selected Cardholders from the countries noted above will be entitled to two percent (2%) cash back on all Eligible Purchases that are converted to a SelectPay™ Plan. There is no limit on the number of transactions that can be converted to SelectPay™ during the Promotional Period.
The table below shows the minimum purchase amount and terms that are eligible for cash back during the promotional period:

For example, if a Cardholder in Barbados converts three (3) eligible transactions to SelectPay™ Plans, one for BBD$1,700 for 3 months, another for BBD$2,000 for 6 months and another for BBD$3,500 for 12 months the Cardholder will receive two percent (2%) cash back on the SelectPay™ Plans for BBD$2,000 and BBD$3,500 only, noting that despite the SelectPay™ Plan for BB$1,700 meeting the minimum value requirement, the term selected would not meet the minimum term eligible for enrolment in the cash back campaign.
The minimum spend requirement for each Country is inclusive of Value Added Tax and/or such other Government taxes as applicable in the jurisdiction where the transaction is processed.
Eligibility
· This Promotion is open to legal residents of Barbados, aged 18 years of age or older, who hold an eligible Scotiabank retail credit card. Cardholders who are employees of Scotiabank in any of the listed countries or are employees of a parent company or subsidiary of the respective Scotiabank entity in any of the listed countries, their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household as any of these employees are not eligible to participate in this Promotion. Cardholders who are employees of the Bank’s advertising and promotional agencies in any of the listed countries, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
· Eligibility is restricted to select Cardholders whose credit card account remains active during the Promotional Period, is in good standing and has not been frozen or closed, and who have also maintained an active Scotiabank savings or chequing account during the Promotional Period.
· All Eligible Purchases/Transactions in local and foreign currencies will be considered toward the earning of cash back. A Cardholder may only receive cash back once on each eligible purchase/transaction which meets the minimum value and minimum term requirements as outlined above.
· Transactions from unauthorized credit card use or those made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this Promotion.
Cash Back Payments:
· Selected Cardholders who convert eligible purchases to a SelectPay™ Plan that meets the eligibility criteria will receive cash back payments to their credit card accounts within 60 days after the end of the Promotion.
· Maximum cash back payable under this SelectPay™ Cash Back Campaign is USD$75 or equivalent in the currency of the card.
Consumer Disclosure:
· Selected Cardholders will be responsible for any taxes or other expenses not explicitly stated as part of their cash back reward, and must agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Bank from and against any and all claims, losses, injuries or damages resulting from participation in this Promotion.
· If an account is not in good standing at the time when the cash back payments are being made, the account will not be eligible for the cash back payment.
· The use of your Eligible Scotiabank credit card to make purchases or perform transactions, together with your use of the Scotiabank Online Banking and Scotiabank Caribbean App to perform online transactions in accordance with these terms and conditions, constitute your consent to participate in this Promotion and your consent for The Bank to obtain your name, address and other information for the lawful purpose of administering this Promotion. Scotiabank reserves the right to void the participation of any Cardholder who Scotiabank believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Promotion.
· A Cardholder’s reward earned through participation in this Promotion will be forfeited in the event that the Cardholder ceases to be a Cardholder at any point during the Promotional Period.
· Cash Back rewards are not transferable and are subject to change.
· Cash Back rewards must be accepted as awarded.
· The Bank will not be responsible for changes to the cash back rewards which result from circumstances outside of its control.
· Scotiabank will issue no representation or warranty in respect of the cash back reward.
· In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects.
· Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this offer in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
· Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank’s decision is final.
