The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:                                                                                                                                                                         

·       “Cardholder” means the primary cardholder of an eligible Scotiabank Amex retail credit card.

·       “Promotional Period” refers to the period from October 29^th to December 31^st, 2026.

·       “Promotion” refers to this promotion and not to any of Scotiabank’s other promotions or programs.

·       “Eligible” refers to any Cardholder with Eligible Purchases/Transactions during the Promotional Period. If the Cardholder spends at Restaurants during the Promotional Period using an Eligible Amex credit card in Good Standing, they will be eligible to participate in this Promotion.

·       “Eligible Purchases/Transactions” means any retail purchase or Point of Sale transaction (not including returns/credits or any fees and/or bank charges) completed at Restaurants. This merchant category does not include Fast Food and Bar establishments.

·       “Good standing” means that the credit card account is not overlimit or past due by any amount during the Promotional Period.

·       “Eligible credit cards” refers only to Scotiabank Amex retail credit cards. Transactions made using Scotiabank Small Business or Corporate credit cards are excluded from this Promotion.

·       "Scotiabank" or “Bank” means Scotiabank (Barbados) Limited.

This Promotion is open to legal residents of Barbados who are 18 years of age or older and who hold an eligible Amex credit card. These terms and conditions shall also be governed by the applicable laws of Barbados.

Capitalised terms used but not defined in these Terms and Conditions shall have the meanings defined and set out in the Scotiabank Credit Card Cardholder Agreement (the “Cardholder Agreement”).

How to Participate:

Eligible Cardholders will get a 10% cashback reward if they spend at Restaurants during the Promotional Period.

The Cashback reward will be credited to the credit card account of the Eligible Cardholders no later than ninety (90) days from the end of the Promotional Period. The Cashback reward will be paid in addition to any other rewards earned through the regular use of the Cardholder’s Scotiabank Amex credit card.

Eligibility

·       This Promotion is open to Eligible Cardholders whose credit cards are in Good Standing, with the exception of employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group), subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household as any of these employees.

·       Transactions arising from unauthorized credit card use or those made with lost, stolen or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this Promotion. 

Official rules and regulations

·       This Promotion will run from October 29^th to December 31^st, 2026, inclusive.

·       The Cashback reward is not transferable and is subject to change at the sole discretion of The Bank without any prior notice to you. The Cashback rewarded received will therefore be considered final. The Bank will not be responsible for changes to the Cashback reward applicable in this Promotion which result from circumstances outside of its control. Scotiabank will issue no representation or warranty in respect of the Cashback reward.

In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects.

Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this Promotion in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason. Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank’s decision is final.

These Terms and Conditions apply only to this Promotion and do not apply to any of the Bank’s other promotions or programs or any other promotion or program in conjunction with the Bank and any other entity or brand.
