Supporting the development of young performers in Barbados

In July 2012 Scotiabank donated $5,000 to “Operation Triple Threat: Sing. Dance. Act,” a six-week performing-arts boot camp in Barbados, geared toward students between the ages of 11 and 18.

Now in its second year, the camp aims to prepare Barbados’ young performers for competing in the international performing arts industry. The program takes each participant through rigorous and comprehensive training in music, dance and drama.

Janelle Headley, founder and director of “Operation Triple Threat,” expressed her gratitude to Scotiabank: "I am really excited to have an organization with Scotiabank’s reputation supporting the arts. This is very encouraging."
