Creating a brighter future for students

In July 2012, as part of the Scotiabank Community Program, Scotiabank’s Systems Support team hosted a series of fundraising events among staff to help a Bridgetown school defray the cost of their graduation.

Carolyn Branker-White, Public Relations Officer and longstanding staff member at Deacons Primary school, was very pleased to receive support from the bank, stating: “Scotiabank’s donation could not have come at a better time, as we really need the money to buy prizes for our top students and all those who took the 11-plus exam this year — 53 students to be exact. It is not often that we are on the receiving end.”
