Enroll in Scotia OnLine
Sign up for Scotia OnLine from the comfort of your home.

Here's what you'll need.
Your ID, email address and personal information must match your customer profile.

Let's get you signed up.
Follow the steps below to sign up for Scotia OnLine.
Step 1 - Go to the sign in page
Step 2 - Enter your customer information
- Select card type
- Enter card number
- First name
- Last name
- Date of Birth
- Select ID Type (must match your customer profile)
- Enter ID number (ID number should not contain dashes (-) or spaces
If your information does not match your customer profile, you will have to review and re-enter the data that is incorrect. You will not be informed of what information is incorrect.
⚠️If you enter your ID incorrectly 3 times you will be locked out for 24 hours.
Step 3 - Email check-up
Our system will then check to see if a valid email address is connected to your customer profile. If not, you will not be able to complete online registration. please email customercareBB@scotiabank.com for assistance.
Step 4 - Retreive and enter verification code
Once an email address is connected to your customer profile, you will receive a verification code at that address.
You will have up to 5 minutes to enter the 6 digit code before it expires.
You may request a resend of the verification code up to 2 more times if you did not receive it or if it has expired.
It is recommended that if using your personal device, you trust the computer, so that on future Log-ins, you will not require to input a verification code.
Step 5 - Sample verification email
Here's an exmaple of the email that you will receive, with your verification code. This 6 digit verification code will need to be entered in your OnLine Banking.
Step 6 - Create a password
Your password must:
- Be 8-32 characters long
- Have a minimum of 1 uppercase letter
- Have a minimum of 1 lowercase letter
- Have a minimum of 1 number
- Have no special characters
Step 7 - Setup Scotiabank Alerts
This is where you will be registered for ScotiabankAlerts. The email address displayed is where the Alerts will be sent to. If you would like to update your email address, you can do so now.
Step 8 - You've successfully enrolled!
You should now receive a notice that your enrollment has been successful. You may now proceed to sign-in to Scotia OnLine.
